A Conversation

Wyndee, Nyla and I had the following conversation this afternoon:

Me: Hey Nyla, want to help me clean up your room?

Nyla: Why?

Me: So it will be nice and clean. Won't that be fun?

Nyla: No...playing is how little girls have fun.

Wyndee: I see.

Nyla: Yeah, but Pat doesn't.

Parents magazine has a section called Baby Bloopers with funny things kids have said. I sent in something funny Nyla said and they put it in the current March issue. Hmm, should I tell you what it said, or make you do your own research?

Celia

Celia has really started talking lately. For a while she would say a new word, but only once and never repeat it. Now she has been Saying Nyla a lot. She has also said cheese, bubble, cracker, bike, wow, cat, and O. Celia is also surprisingly good at using silverware (albeit with an adorable tendency to use the handle end of the spoon to pick things up). She is also getting 4 new teeth, her first year molars.

Celia's lack of stranger anxiety

Today while Nyla was at dance class, Celia went over to one of the other parents and stood by her. Then the lady picked her up and Celia sat in her lap, perfectly content for 20 minutes. Last week, it was a different lady. She won't sit content in my lap that long but for some reason will in other peoples. She apparently has no stranger anxiety.
